American Astronomical Society (AAS) -- Established in 1899, AAS is an organization of professional astronomers in North America. The website lists several grants and prizes available. The website also features a section on education and one on special projects.

Astronomy Magazine -- Not only are the feature articles on display, but there are also introductory sections with astronomy basics and astronomy for kids.

Astronomy Picture of the Day -- A different photo every day. Site contributed by NASA and Michigan Tech University.

Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP) -- ASP has members in over 70 nations. News and Current events are listed on this helpful site. The Astroshop has great gifts and games.

Australia Telescope National Facility -- Current events and news are listed on the opening page. Links at the top send visitors to the Paul Wild Observatory in Narrabri, Parkes Observatory, the Mopra Observatory, located near Coonabarabran, and the Square Kilometre Array.

CNES France: Mission Clementine -- Images from the Clementine Mission.

Griffith Observatory -- a major Los Angeles landmark since 1935. It was visited by nearly two million people each year and ranked as one of the top tourist attractions of Southern California. Griffith sits on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood where it commands a stunning view of the Los Angeles basin below.

Hayden Planetarium -- The Office of the Director of the Hayden Planetarium operates out of the Department of Astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History. Their mission is to bring the frontier of astrophysics to the public via exhibitry, books, public programs, and online resources.

International Planetarium Society (IPS) -- The IPS is the largest organization of professional planetarians in the world. The site lists events, conferences, and publications.

Lowell Observatory -- Lowell Observatory is a privately owned astronomical research institution located in Flagstaff, Arizona at an elevation of 7,260 feet.

NASA -- National Aeronautics and Space Administration

National Optical Astronomy Observatory, Cerro Pacon, Brazil -- 4 meter telescope in Cerro Pachon, Brazil. Funded by U.S. National Optical Astronomy Observatory, government of Brazil, Michigan State University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Nine Planets -- History, mythology, and current scientific knowledge of each of the planets put together by Bill Arnett, a software engineer who loves astronomy.

Views of the Solar System -- Includes info on planetary bodies and astronomers. Website maintained by Calvin Hamilton, an engineer and astronomy enthusiast.
