G. H. Asoka – Metrologist

B.Sc. graduate and Charted Physicist, working as a Metrology Experimental Officer at National Measurement Laboratory in Sri Lanka for about 10 years.  Attached to the Mass & Volume Laboratories and also have experienced in Dimensional field. Also a Technical Assessor for conformity Assessments and followed ISO 17025 Assessors Training Course in Sri Lanka Accreditation Board.

Successfully completed the 3rd Country Training Programme on Strengthening of Measurement Standards Institutes of Asia Pacific Countries in the field of Form Standards from National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT), Thailand from 11th January – 21st February 2009. Practiced with Mitutoyo & Taylor Hobson roundness measuring Instruments.

Followed B.Sc. Degree in Physical Science section. Now doing the final Research Project Project “ Development of Vehicular Pollution Monitoring Equipment ” of M.Sc. Degree in Applied Electronics at University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Completed the Diploma level of the M.Sc. with GPA 3.15 average.

Also doing the Pattern Approval of Weighing Instruments & Fuel Dispensing Pumps according to OIML Recommendations.
