27 May 2025 — European summit of metrology experts at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB): In the year of the 150th anniversary of the Metre Convention, representatives from all European metrology institutes are traveling to Berlin. The General Assembly of the umbrella organization EURAMET e. V., taking place from 2 to 6 June 2025, will bring the burning issues of the metrological community to the table: They want to carry on laying the foundation for economically successful technologies and for competitiveness in Europe by means of reliable measurements – from AI and the digital transformation of metrology to new materials to the second quantum revolution. Against the backdrop of geopolitical changes, they have to rely on strong solidarity between European countries.
